"weathered"; Jim works as a radiology orderly at the John Fawkner Hospital. (He transports patients back and forth between their wards and the radiology department). And at anytime, he can get up to 6 calls simutaneously, each seperate department within radiology requesting that their patients be brought down immediately. The Job is nuts! Radiographers think they have it tough, I would't survive a monday hour in Jim's shoes. But time after time he greets us with a cheery smile and playfull remarks. One weekend, during a group cycling trip, I had the chance to catch up with Jim to get to know him better. He's married and feeds a family of 7 including his wife and himself being an orderly among other side jobs. Yet I've never seen him once without a smile, or hear a word of complaint. After all the cycling we stoped to take a break and Jim tells me all about his intrest in martial arts, gives me a rundown on the history of Tai Chi among others, one in particular Chen Fah- A training in martial arts that likens to what you would see in the movie Fightclub. Along the course he tells of his enjoyment in cycling and current interest in fitness training and so forth.
You can tell the man lives a hard life, yet he has all the initiative of finding a means to carry him through all of it. Shouldn't we all be a little more like Jim.

Just pointing out that..

"..cable trigerred disc breaks"

should be spelt:

"..cable triggered disc brakes"
